You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. – Matthew 22:37
We will love God because He first loved us by giving us His Son Jesus Christ. Out of this love grows our heart and we become grounded and rooted in him.
You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only will you serve. – Luke 4:8
We will worship God in song and word as we lift up His Holy Name. He alone is worthy of our praise and we come with thankful hearts into His presence.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing to the division. – Hebrews 4:12
We will preach the Word of God and be in His Word daily as we desire to grow in knowledge and allow the Word, which is Jesus Christ, to change our heart, our speech, our actions, and our lives so we can become a living sacrifice to God.
Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
– John 14:12
We will serve the Lord our God and Him only. We are each given gifts to be used in the body of Christ, as the church. Together we can do mighty things because God is with us and nothing can come against us.
The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself – Matthew 22:39
We will learn to love those that are part of our church family first, then extend that love to all who grace the doors of the church and the community where we are planted. We will individually extend that love in the workplace, marketplace, neighborhood and our families.
When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you? And the King will answer them, “Truly I say to you as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” – Matthew 25:38-40
We will reach out to all people in the love that Christ extended to us. We will establish ourselves as a church that cares for the needs of others by providing food, clothing, visiting the sick and those in prison. WE will look for nonprofits to partner with in some areas and as the Lord provides, add more resources in help ministries.
For you are called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. – Galatians 5:13
We serve each other and the community by sharing the love of Christ with each other. We will look for ways to serve and to be the light in a dark world as we are led with the gifts and desires placed on the hear of our church family.
Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it. – Luke 18:17
Survey after survey indicates that a majority of decision to follow Christ happen before the age of 12. It is our job and expectation to champion our children and grandchildren in classes where they are taught and nurtured in the love of Jesus. We will endeavor to provide a loving, safe, and caring place for these children to make a decision for Christ and to be baptized in His name.
